quite simply, the best Purple studio album!not one bad track on it.bolin showed his excellent songwriting abilities coupled with classic coverdale lyrics.the influence of hughes re his funk background shines through and culminates in the incredible GETTIN TIGHTER.If this was an indication of what these two could write together, it is simply the biggest crime in history that an album never materialised.this is an album that finally lets the songwriting abilities of the band come to the fore.i have had this album on vinyl since it came out (and now have it on cd) and it is one of my top 5 all time favourite albums.if you aint got it go buy it!
