Wings Greatest
About
Tracks
Credits
Producer: Paul McCartney
International edition of this collection originally released in 1978 (domestic version is long out-of-print) after London Town gave McCartney another huge hit, Wings Greatest rounds up McCartney's greatest hits from 1971 to 1978 which means it skips 'Maybe I'm Amazed' but touches on Ram. The main strength of this collection is that it contains many hits that never appeared on any album, and these are among McCartney's very best solo singles, the eccentric domesticity of 'Another Day', 'Junior's Farm', the Bond anthem 'Live and Let Die', the pile driving 'Hi Hi Hi', and 'Mull of Kintyre', a Scottish-styled folk ballad that was his biggest hit in England. And yes, it's fair to peg these as McCartney successes, since some of them were billed as McCartney, not Wings, and as such, this record is a great overview of McCartney's first decade of solo recording, containing many of his very best solo tunes. A great collection, very useful for people like me who weren't around to hear these songs when they were first released, because many of these songs aren't included on Wings CDs.
Very good collection of greatest songs by Wings. Much of the songs are stable hits.
If you know this album you can review it.

Arrived on time and in brand new condition! Excellent service! Best music! I recomment the product and seller 100%! Thank you!
Released just before he jumped ship for a stay at Columbia Records(in the US),"Wings Greatest" contains most,if not all, of his biggest hits like "Band On The Run","Live And Let Die"(covered by Guns N' Roses of all people),"With A Little Luck","Jet","My Love","Junior's Farm","Mull Of Kintye"(a massive UK seller) and "Silly Love Songs".It would have been nice to have "Listen To What The Man Said" or "Maybe I'm Amazed" included( Wingspan (Hits & History) includes those),but for a all killer-no filler package(for me at least)this can't be beat. The 1993 "Paul McCartney Collection" remaster is pretty good, too.
Paul's early stuff both with and without Wings. Every song is a winner and if you don't have any Paul McCartney, this is where to start. Worth it just for "Live and Let Die" and "Uncle Albert."
This is the McCartney CD that has all the Great songs and a few Fun ones for the Best price.
Wings were the band of Paul and Linda McCartney in the '70.
All their hits are included. Recommended ! |
