10/10 Matthew Barker (April 18, 2005)
King Crimson consist of a very intelligent Progressive Rock outfit. All the people in King Crimson are master musicians and craftsman from the drummer onwards, and it would be wonderful to listen in on some of their conservation during tea breaks! They're all highly intelligent people with individual careers of their own. This record is full of aggressive sounds and shreeks which symbolise the hysteria and semi-neurotic frustration of the post-modern age, and there are some wonderful lyrics by the excellent Adrian Belew who can sing beautifully. For those who wish to initiate themselves, buy this record, then if you are pleased, buy all the others. King Crimson are an exploration, and an experience. You won't be disappointed.
