10/10 Peter Barry (June 15, 2006)
An incredibyly dark but insightful and visionary album. \"Dogs\" could have been the theme for the corporate raiders of the eighties, only this album was from the seventies. Like \"Dark Side\", it works as one single piece.
5/10 paul (March 7, 2005)

10/10 Floyd Fan (June 13, 2004)
One must be literally on the brink of insanity to have so much awarness of and insight into the full gamut of human emotion(expressed near perfectly through music)... Geniuses in their own right Pink Floyd again gleefully(yet morbidly) slices apart and intently examines the 'human psyche' with the precision of a world renowned surgeon. Exposing its diseased side in the proccess while leaving us with just a small glimpse of imagined optimism in the end, yet being certain to make us fully aware of the darkness that lingers beneath the stitches. Warning: this one should not be listened to under the influence of depression nor will it ever be awarded merits for furthing peace of mind. However, Animals is a MASTERPIECE! created under the influence of realistic paranoia pushed slightly over the edge. Enjoy!
10/10 CrimsonStrange (February 5, 2003)
One of those albums that can help bring out the best and worst of your memories & personality. Each song speaks to the hidden parts of your soul in it's own subtle way. This is something that gains more meaning and depth as you grow older, in the tradition of every Floyd album ever produced. You know people who are Dogs, Pigs, and Sheep. And at some point in our lives, we play the part of all three...
