8/10 Floyd Fan (June 23, 2004)
My good friends brother was the arranger and manager of the light shows for Pink Floyds concerts during the 'Momentary' tour(Grega was his name). He would send back home videos to us of his time on the road with Pink Floyd a behind the scenes look of him with the band as well as with many roadies over a nearly 2 year long tour period. "this is David Gilmour, wave David, smile Dave" "Hey Nick Smile!" type stuff... it was absolutely mind blowing to us as we were teenagers and dreamed of doing what Dereks brother was doing with Pink Floyd. We would watch these videos in sheer delight, in awe really. "Dude, your brother is so lucky!" wed say little did we know how much hard work he was putting in, in order to be touring with Pink Floyd in the first place. He also did the light shows for many other bands as well such as Steve Miller, Motley Crew etc etc...Anyhow this was a decent album and if looked at without the previous Pink Floyd achievements clouding ones vision was a very nice achievement.
7/10 Brian Creasey (February 14, 2003)
Although I guess this album wasn't truely favoured by many Floyd purist's, it definately has it's moments. There are times when you think that it's losing it's way a little, perhaps missing that 'Waters' touch, but this is more than made up for by Gilmour's superb guitar. 'On the turning away' must be one of his best! (next to 'Comfy' of course!)
