	During the "She Loves You" years, John and Paul's songwriting partnership was face-to-face, note-by-note teamwork. This evolved to the "We Can Work it Out" era, when one would have the basic song framework, and the other would add polish and/or an idea for a new verse or a bridge. This evolved to the "A Day in the Life / I've Got a Feeling" period, when each would provide an independently written song fragment which would fit together nicely. Now we take this partnership to its logical extreme, when John and Paul cowrite a song with 20 year's separation, with one of the partners actually being dead. Any more "partnership"...well, I don't think I can allow such a song in my house!! All kidding aside, this was clearly a touching and emotional song for the three surviving Beatles to assemble, and millions including myself were thrilled to have a new recording from four guys who have become extended family, beloved friends.
