Average song rating This song and the next two ("That Was Me" and "Feet in the Clouds" form the core of this album, perhaps even giving it its name as all three are amiable remembrances and reflections of Paul's 'Almost Full' Memory.

This song is wonderful to listen to, and will be for any long-time McCartney fan, as he takes a reasonably nice melody and adds to it his inimitable talent for layering on the confections (deftly-arranged background vocals, tasteful orchestration, and a message to put a smile on your face), forming a delightful song comparable to dozens throughout his career (recently, "Friends To Go", "Tiny Bubble", and "Little Willow"). Sometimes I listen to a song like this and feel like I'm being hoodwinked by a clever conjuror (especially when this song is compared to the truly excellent next song), but if so, it is a spell to which I gladly succomb.

Lyrics

Don't live in the past
Don't hold on to something that's changing fast
What we are, is what we are and what we wear
Is vintage clothes, vintage clothes:

We jump up for joy
Who cares if we look like a girl or boy
What we are, is what we are and what we wear
Is vintage clothes, vintage clothes:

A little more, a little tall
Check the rack
What went out, is coming back

Don't live in the past
Don't hold on to something that's changing fast
What we are, is what we are and what we wear
Is vintage clothes, vintage clothes:

A little more, a little tall
Check the rack
What went out, is coming back
