Average song rating "Feet in the Clouds" is the third of the Memory Almost Full 'core songs' (I'm not saying that these are the BEST songs, but that these are the songs that give the CD its theme--the next song "House of Wax" shines brightly with a totally different glory). Once again Paul lays on the confections, but this time it pulls a plodding mediocre song up to being okay--I mean, calling this song superb would be very very very very very very very very very hard.

The confections that Paul adds to this song consist of the obvious vocal vamping, which are pleasing to listen to (very reminiscent of similar efforts from Queen: "Bring Back that Leroy Brown" and "Seaside Rendevous") but not sufficient to make this a strong track.

Lyrics

Teacher said I had my head in the clouds
They directed, I suspected, disconnected hat in my way

On the street I had my feet on the ground
Stood corrected, well protected, resurrected had it my way

I've got my feet in the clouds, got my head on the ground
I know that I'm not a square as long as their not around
But I find it very very very very very very hard
Yes I find it very very very very very very hard

Love is fab it's like a stab in the heart
My hidden treasure, made to measure, for my pleasure, I had it my way

I've got my feet in the clouds, got my head on the ground
I know that I'm not a square as long as their not around
But I find it very very very very very very hard
Oh I find it very very very very very very hard
Yes I find it very very very very very very hard...

I've got my feet in the clouds, got my head on the ground
I know that I'm not a square as long as their not around
But I find it so hard I find it so hard
