Lovely to See You

Average song rating It just may be that the Moody Blues have written more songs about friendship than any other group. "Lovely to See You", "Remember Me My Friend", "When You're a Free Man", "The Day We Meet Again", "Gemini Dream", "Meet Me Halfway", and more. More than the "cosmic consciousness" or the drugs or the spiritual messages, the strongest force I hear when I listen to them (especially in recent years) is the genuine fondness they seem to have for one another and for their fans. "Lovely to See You" was the first note struck in this direction, a rocking song composed by Justin Hayward which remains the best-known track from On the Threshold of a Dream. Lyrics

A wonderful day for passing my way.
Knock and my door and even the score
With your eyes.

Lovely to see you again my friend.
Walk along with me to the next bend.

Dark cloud of fear is blowing away.
Now that you're hear, you're going to stay
'cause it's

Lovely to see you again my friend.
Walk along with me to the next bend.

Tells us what you've seen in faraway forgotten lands.
Where empires have turned back to sand.

Wonderful day for passing my way.
Knock and my door and even the score
With your eyes.

Lovely to see you again my friend.
Walk along with me to the next bend.
