Average song rating The song that give the album its name. If possible, an absolute low point to me. Linda's keyboards starting at 0.09 sounds like the first lesson for beginners on the keyboard. After Denny Seiwell great opening, the song develops into a slow blues. After over six minutes, my mind was really bothering me. How could I ever manage to listen to another side of this album? Paul's voice is not really great and tends towards screaming. Even his falsetto lets him down (2.00) and he forces it into a scream at 2.10. Are all the instruments really tuned well? The guitar solo sucks and makes it clear why a leadguitarist would be part of Wings in later years. Terrible. Bobber April 11, 2012
Average song rating Laid back blues, very reminiscent of the Blood Sweat & Tears song "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know". Paul belts out the aggressive lead vocal, with the rest of the group excellently echoing his lines (Hit Parader Magazine: "Wild Life" has a beautiful backup vocal from Linda.--!!). At least a couple of time in the song, Paul can be heard to screech out the lyric, "Wild Life, the AMINALS in the zoo", which is worth a smile. As Linda was a life-long pro-animals activist, this song is assumed to be the first such expression in Paul's music, although I must say that it's very difficult to discern from the lyrics just what wort of pro-animal message is being conveyed... Lyrics

The world "wild" applies to the words "you" and "me".

While take a walk thru an african park one day,
I saw a sign say, "the animals have the right of way".

Wild life, whatever happened to,
Wild life, the animals in the zoo?

We're breathing a lot,
A lot of political nonsense in the air.

You're making it hard for the people who live in there.
You're moving so fast, but, baby, you know not where.
Wild life, (wild life), what's gonna happen to
Wild life, (wild life), the animals in the zoo?

You'd better stop, there's animals ev'rywhere,
And man is the top, an animal too,
And, man, you just got to care.

Wild life, what's gonna happen to,
Wild life, the animals in the zoo?

You're breathing a lot of polical nonsense in the air.

Wild life, (wild life), what's gonna happen to
(what's gonna happen to) (what's gonna happen to)
Wild life, (wild life), the animals in the zoo?
(what's gonna happen to) (what's gonna happen to)
Wild life, what ever happened to?
What ever happened to?
