Average song rating This is a superb off-the-cuff sort of song, the strongest of the bonus tracks and one of the CD's best moments. Someone could probably write a dissertation on the connection between McCartney's music, and animals (particularly dogs). You can hear a dog barking at the beginning of this song, which you add to the list of Paul's song titles named after his dogs ("Martha My Dear", "Jet") and Paul's making remarkably realistic barking sounds ("I Wanna Be Your Man", "I Feel Fine", "Hey Bulldog", and "I'm Down [Anthology II]"). I'm more of a cat person, so I appreciate this song as its lyrics seem particularly apt for their lifestyles. Later on we will discuss the cats and kittens of "Monkberry Moon Delight", and the album called Wild Life. Bruce Beatlefan April 15, 2006

Lyrics

I lie around
All over the place

It seems that I have no choice in the matter
Roll along wheel of fortune
As you roll along I stick around
Furthermore in the country
I will lay my burden down
I lie around
I lie around
I lie around
All over the place
All over the place
All over the place
All over the place

Too long have I been the heart of the matter
All along I was only over tired and overtaken
Furthermore in the country
I will lay my burden down
I lie around
I lie around
I lie around
All over the place

So long, bye bye, it was fun while it mattered
Roll along wheel of fortune
As you roll along I stick around
Furthermore in the country
I will lay my burden down

Yes, I lie around
All over the place
All over the place
All over the place
I lie around, around.
