Letting Go

Average song rating Maybe I'm becoming monotonious here, but I like this song as well. Great guitar lick. Bobber April 11, 2012
Average song rating This is a great delivery, smoldering and sultry; with those cool dramatic horns this song is perhaps more suited for a James Bond movie than was "Live and Let Die".

What's really odd about this song is that Paul can only be singing about his Linda, but Linda McCartney with her content-to-be-in-the-background domesticity and sweetly-pleasing-but-not-bombshell appearance really doesn't fit well with the dazzling femme fatale that Paul describes. (To demonstrate my point, look at the inside sleeve of this album and note how Linda looks pre-occupied in the photograph, and totally eclipsed by the anonymous woman who was accidentally(?) part of the picture.)

Lyrics

Ah, she tastes like wine
Such a human being so divine
Oh she feels like sun
Mother nature look at what you're done

Oh I feel like letting go
Oh I feel like letting go.

Ah, she looks like snow
I want to put her in a broadway show
Ah she'll dance and dine
Like a lucifer she'll always shine

Oh I feel like letting go
Oh I feel like letting go.

Oh I feel like letting go.

Ah, she sings it so
I want to put her on the radio
One day and there you are
Ladies and gentleman -
A brand new star.

Oh I feel like letting go
Oh I feel like letting go
