In spite of Paul's liberal output of songs which speak so glowingly of his loving wife's qualities ("The Lovely Linda", "Long-Haired Lady", "My Love", "Letting Go", "She's My Lady", etc.), poor Linda underwent some years of scathing public criticism from some pretty insensitive folk.
