Mary Anne With the Shaky Hand

Average song rating Several attempts were made to record a harder version of this song (one is included in the "expanded" Who Sell Out), but Townshend thankfully settled on this acoustic folkish version. A simply told singalong tale that bears the unwelcome news to many worthy young ladies that cultivating wifely skills such as cooking and sewing cannot hold a candle to the woman willing to deliver a fast handjob. A certified Who deviant classic, in the tradition of "Pictures of Lily", "Fiddle About", "Squeeze Box" and "Trick of the Light". Bruce Beatlefan February 9, 2008

Lyrics

More music (x 4)

I danced with Linda
I danced with Jean
I danced with Cindy
Then I suddenly see

Mary-Anne with the shaky hands
What they've done to her man
Those shaky hands

Mary is so pretty
The prettiest in the land
Guys come from every city
Just to shake her shaky hands

Linda can cook
Jean reads books
Cindy can sew
But I'd rather know

Mary-Anne with the shaky hands
What they've done to her man
Those shaky hands

Mary-Anne with the shaky hands
What they've done to her man
Those shaky hands

Mary-Anne with the shaky hands
What they've done to her man
Those shaky hands
