Average song rating I have never understood the rhythm in the first part of the song. It sounds as if Ringo, Klaus and John are all out of rhythm, but when John starts singing, it suddenly seems to be alright. The ‘Don’t You Worry’-part even sounds a bit like The Beatles if you ask me. Klaus’ bass and John’s piano sounds threatening together, haunting. Well done. Bobber February 20, 2013
Average song rating This is one of the more enjoyable songs whose surprise ending provides for me an extremely interesting irony: The 5th of November is (in England) Guy Fawkes day. Guy Fawkes is mockingly "commemorated" for trying and failing to blow up (I think) the Parliament building in London. The irony is that John Lennon issues this album seemingly with the intention of similarly blowing up every perceived icon in his own life (except Yoko). If John Lennon truly likens the making of this album to the actions of Guy Fawkes, then what of all those people who revere this album as an act of genius??? Bruce Beatlefan June 19, 2006

Lyrics

Remember when you were young
How the hero was never hung
Always got away

Remember the man
Used to leave you empty handed
Always , always let you down
If you ever change your mind
About leaving it all behind
Remember, remember Today

Don't you worry
'Bout what you've done
Don't feel sorry
'Bout the way it's gone

Remember
When you were small
How people seemed so tall
Always had their way
Remember your ma and pa
Just wishing for movie stardom
Always, always playing a part
If you ever feel sad
And the whole world is driving you mad
Remember, remember today
