	"Love is the answer" cries John Lennon in this song. Every music critic I have ever read sees this line as a quaint anachronism, a feeble cry in the dark during the decade when a hopeful "flower power" era gives way to the nihilism of punk rock and disco. And I agree; this song strikes me very poignantly as John's last gasp of idealism against the tidal wave of the "mind guerrillas". For that reason, this song symbolizes for me the sad announcement of that transision in our culture.	Bruce Beatlefan	May 20, 2006
