Eugene Onegin — new side-by-side translation

The Metropolitan Opera is staging Eugene Onegin this April and May.

For this occasion, I revisited the original Russian libretto and prepared a new side-by-side Russian–English translation. The goal was simple: to let the English follow the structure, meaning, and rhythm of the original text as closely as possible — so you can read along while listening and stay inside the music.

You can explore it here:

A paperback edition is in preparation and should be available within about a week.
